Project Update: Successful Installation of Modular Type Control Panel Buildings
Early on a Saturday morning in June our team gathered on-site at one of our high voltage substation projects to oversee the craning in of two prefabricated modular buildings. These buildings, supplied and delivered by Ampcontrol, were expertly transported and offloaded with the help of @Gold Springs Transport and Borger Cranes.
With multiple contractors operating in this precinct, planning the lift on a Saturday was a significant factor in reducing risks associated with delivery and installation.
These prefab’ buildings house important protection and control equipment required to maintain substation safety and compliance. Weighing in at approx. 23 Tonne each, the installation was no small feat.
A big thank you to @Alan for preparing a BBQ breakfast for the team and service providers, which was a perfect way to prepare for action after the early morning induction.
Thank you to everyone involved for your assistance and hard work in making this project successful!

It was a fantastic effort from all involved, especially on a cold and rainy Saturday! 🙌🏻
And, it is worth highlighting the precision it takes ahead of installation to ensure the site is ready.
🚧 The slabs have to be perfect in their dimensions, level and hardware placement (well done, Ausconnex team and Avant Constructions).
🚧 The site has to be organised to ensure clear access for a 300T crane AND a long, wide load vehicle with limited articulation (special call out to Nick Wacher, for his fantastic work in ensuring clear access and excellent safety barriers).
🚧 Traffic control needs to be in place to ensure the vehicles can access the site from the road without incident – thanks to Road and Rail Excavations Pty Ltd
