Meet Johann Coetzer!
Tell us a bit about your role at Ausconnex.
🎤 Being a project manager has given me the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, in particular initiatives within the rapidly growing elective vehicle charging space.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
🎤 It’s hard to pinpoint one thing because I enjoy everything I do. I have an extremely rewarding role – it’s not only satisfying to see the projects I manage come to fruition but also great to see the growth of the people within the team that I lead.
Highlights so far?
🎤 Definitely the wide range of infrastructure projects I have delivered – this has allowed me to continue growing as a Project Manager. A particular highlight was the delivery of our first electric vehicle charging station within a very tight timeframe. The project life cycle would normally take between three and four months, but our team delivered it within two months to meet the client’s deadline.
What do you do when you aren’t at work?
🎤 Most of my free time is spent with my family, however, it’s not unusual to see me on a golf course or on a motorcycle ride. I’ve been riding a motorbike on and off for the last 14 years but unfortunately, my 2021 Yamaha MT was stolen a few weeks ago.
Tell us something people may not know about you.
🎤 My wife and I immigrated to Australia from South Africa in 2019 and while the choice to move here wasn’t easy, it was the best decision I have ever made. We love the weather, the culture, the beauty, and Australia is safe. I’m grateful for how we’ve been welcomed which has allowed my wife and I to build a great life for ourselves but also for our children who will grow up as Australians.
Describe your time at Ausconnex so far.
🎤 Ausconnex is a wonderful place to work. We have a supportive work environment with a wealth of experience in different fields which allows us to take a proactive and solutions-driven approach to managing our projects.
