Meet Charl van Wyk, Project Engineer here at Ausconnnex.

With over a decade of experience in consulting engineering, Charl brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team. His background spans retail, residential, and commercial developments, making him a versatile asset on our infrastructure projects.

Charl joined us in February 2023, and since then, he’s been immersing himself in the electrical components of our projects, expanding his predominantly structural engineering background.

Charl’s passion for planning, executing, and completing projects is evident in his dedication and drive. The moments of recognition and appreciation from his peers are what makes his role at Ausconnex truly rewarding.

Outside of work, Charl loves travelling with his wife and exploring new places as often as their schedules allow.

A former competitive road cyclist, Charl boasts numerous State cycling championships in South Africa and even clinched an Australian National Masters Championship in 2021. Though he now rides occasionally for fun, his competitive spirit has found a new outlet in CrossFit, where he trains intensively every day.

For Charl, any day spent being active and outdoors is a good day. We’re thrilled to have Charl on our team, bringing his passion, expertise, and enthusiasm to every project he tackles!
