How it started vs How it’s going…
Since breaking ground in September 2023, Muhammad Abdul Azeem, PMP‘s team has made remarkable strides in both the design and construction of the 132kV / 22kV Substation in Kemps Creek in Western Sydney.
Despite facing challenging conditions, including ground temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius and a recent 200 millimetres of rainfall in 24 hours, the team has persevered and remained committed to keeping the project on schedule.
Milestones achieved to date:
Installation of 2x 70MVA Siemens Transformers
Installation of all Primary Electrical Conduits
Completion of all Air Insulated Equipment (AIE) foundations and pedestals, ready for (AIE) equipment installation to begin this month
Completion of 15 Gantry Piles (6m deep x 1.5m diameter) ready for Gantry installation this month
Completion of 2 Control Building foundations, ready for installation this month
Installation of 2500m of Earth cable for the Substation Earth Grid
Installation of all Pre-cast Communication Cable Culverts
These accomplishments signify substantial progress in the construction and installation of critical components essential for the project’s success.
