Substations & Switching Stations
Delivery of turn-key solutions of 132kV, 66kV, and 33kV brownfield and greenfield projects is one of the key pillars of Ausconnex’s mission to enable communities through infrastructure. Drawing from our highly skilled workforce, Ausconnex can bring together a team of experts to support your project.
This includes EIS/REF approvals, civil & electrical designs, construction management of all facets of the civil build, procurement of specialist equipment such as transformers & GIS systems, and full electrical installation and commissioning.
Our on-hand resources include hundreds of qualified technical personnel with experience in building and maintaining high voltage substations and switching stations for connections to all types of infrastructure including private networks, renewable energy generation, data centres and community networks.

Electrical Design
Ausconnex can deliver design engineering for overhead and underground utility networks for all types of connections, such as Data Centres and Renewable Energy, and residential projects, including sub-divisions.
Our team are experts at devleoping cost-effective solutions to challenging projects, with extensive collaboration between our in-house design engineers and our construction engineers, to deliver the value of our ‘design for constructability’ approach, evaluating the scope and developing a design that supports minimum risk to delivery and cost.

A reliable, licensed and fully-equipped Level 2 Authorised Service Provider, Ausconnex offer a trade service that is reliable in an emergency and suitable for all new connections of domestic load, including the installation and commissioning of overhead and underground services. Accredited as Level 2 electricians in Sydney and across regional NSW, Ausconnex are able to look after network services from the street to the project, from residential homes to large-scale commercial properties.
We have demonstrated capabilities in:
- Installation, repair and/or maintenance of the overhead and/or underground service lines between electrical wiring on your premises and the electricity network.
- Connection of your service lines to the network and making the connection ‘live’.
- Disconnection of your premises from the network.
- Upgrading of customer/service mains.
- Installation of steel poles.
- Relocation of point of attachments.
- Upgrading from single to three phase power supply.
