Meet Justin Chambers!

Tell us about your role at Ausconnex.

🎤 I’m a Project Manager currently working on three separate projects that involve the relocation of transmission, high voltage and low voltage assets as well as the installation of street lighting for road upgrades and motorways in Western Sydney.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

🎤 I really enjoy working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative, cost effective and first-class solutions for our customers. I also value the opportunity to build strong relationships with like-minded people within Ausconnex, with our clients and our delivery partners.

What have been some highlights so far?

🎤 There are many but something that stands out is the successful delivery of several large electrical outages involving the undergrounding of existing overhead 132kV / 11kV / LV conductors and associated low voltage reticulation works for streetlighting.

What are some of the biggest highlights of your career so far?

🎤 Definitely the development of relationships and friendships I’ve enjoyed throughout my 24 years working in the electrical distribution and transmission industry. I have also been lucky to work with several great mentors who’ve given me the guidance and leadership to develop my skills as a Project Manager. I really cherish these relationships as they’ve greatly influenced my professional and personal life which has bought my career to where I am now.

Tell us something about yourself that people might be surprised to hear.

🎤 Since the COVID lockdown finished in November 2021, I decided to focus on improving my health and wellbeing.  As part of this journey, I’m much more active attending regular gym sessions, bushwalking and exploring new places and experiences.

If I’m not at the gym or walking, I will be out exploring the Greater Sydney area, at the beach, concerts, sporting events or whatever new places or experiences are available. This has been a fantastic journey for my overall health.

Describe your time at Ausconnex so far.

🎤 My experience at Ausconnex has been both exciting and challenging as I create new relationships and learn new systems and processes. I enjoy working with a fantastic group of supportive people.
