Meet Toni-Lee Kim!
Tell us a bit about your role at Ausconnex.
I am a graduate engineer at Ausconnex, one of the very first graduate engineers for the organisation, which is an honour and very exciting. My role consists of a variety of activities that assist the project team such as procurement, design management, document control and helping out on site, just to name a few.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
So far, I have really enjoyed broadening my knowledge on substations and various software systems such as AutoCAD and 12D View. What I enjoy the most is that I’m part of the design process as well as the construction process. I have been able to see the ‘why’ behind the components of building a substation and now I am looking forward to seeing the ‘how’ through different processes and methodologies on site.
Highlights so far?
I’m really looking forward to seeing the progression of the data centre project. We have just completed the design stage and starting a few of the early works. I am looking forward to seeing the substation develop and learning and implementing the procedures required.
Tell us something about yourself people might be surprised to learn.
I recently started crocheting. I am getting the hang of it and creating a warm jumper for my dog!
Describe your time at Ausconnex so far.
It’s been great and wonderful getting to know everyone on the team and learning from individuals with varying project backgrounds.
